Can I pay at the door for a Reunion event?

Pre-registration is mandatory for the individual class cocktail parties and dinners, as well as for on-campus housing.  We strongly encourage pre-registration for all other events, to ensure proper space and meal planning.  Alumni not registered will be accommodated on a space-available basis only for events and additional fees may apply.

What’s on the menu?

There is a mix of buffet and served meals during Reunion, please call the Alumni Relations Office for specifics or special dietary requests.

Are there vegetarian options?

Yes, at all the meals, there will be vegetarian selections.  Please contact the Alumni Office at (610) 330-5040 prior to Reunion Weekend with any special needs.  We will do all we can to accommodate special dietary needs.

Can I reserve a table at an event?

Tables will be reserved by class year at all-alumni events (excluding breakfast).  Where tables aren’t reserved, on-time arrival will help assure your seating preferences.

Will classes be grouped together?

Yes, classmates will be in the same building as space permits.  If you have a special request (e.g., you want to share a room with a certain person) please indicate that on your registration form.  We will honor housing requests wherever possible for those who reserve apartments by the registration deadline.

Where can I stay overnight?

Most alumni stay in assigned lodging in the residence halls.  You and your guest(s) are invited to reserve a room for the night or the entire weekend.

What items are included in residence hall housing?

Each room has one or two twin beds and a chair, desk, and dresser.  Basic bed linens, a pillow, and a lightweight blanket are provided.  You must bring your own towels.  For your comfort, you may want to bring your own pillow, robe, slippers, clock, fan, and hangers.  There are no private lavatories; each floor in the residence hall typically has a designated communal men’s and women’s lavatory.  Rooms are NOT equipped with phones, TVs, or alarm clocks.  Children are welcome to bring air mattresses and/or sleeping bags in their parents’ room.

How do I get keys to my room?

Start your Reunion Weekend with a visit to Reunion Headquarters in Pfenning Alumni Center.  Here you will receive your Reunion materials, housing assignments, and have a chance to see who has arrived.

Where is Pfenning Alumni Center?

Pfenning Alumni Center is located on Hamilton Street between Oechsle Hall (formerly Alumni Gym) and Kirby Sports Center.  For more information, see the campus map.

What if I arrive on campus outside of registration hours?

It is recommended that you arrive during registration hours.  If you register for on-campus housing and plan to arrive after hours, please indicate this on your registration form.  There will be instructions at the registration area in Pfenning for retrieving your keys and checkpoint from Public Safety.

What about other hotels nearby?

If you prefer comfort and privacy, we strongly encourage you to make reservations at one of the local hotels.  For your convenience, the Alumni Office has blocked a number of rooms at the Holiday Inn Express (610) 923-9495 and TownePlace Suites Marriott (610) 829-2050 that will be on hold through May 1.  You are responsible for making your own reservations and payment.  The reservation code for each hotel is “Lafayette College Reunion.”
