What type of housing is available?
There are limited Residence Halls and rooms available for Reunion. Dorm style (Gates, McKeen) or shared living space style (McCartney 2) Residence Hall housing is available. Please note that shared living spaces include 2, 3, and 4 bedroom suites with a joined gathering space and a shared bathroom.
Can you accommodate a specific room request?
We are unable to accommodate specific room requests but will group classes together as much as possible. Rooms are limited. Early registration to receive room assignments near classmates is recommended.
Will I have air conditioning?
All residence halls for Reunion are air conditioned.
I require an accessible room. How do I request that?
Some residence halls are accessible. Please email alumni@lafayette.edu with any necessary accessibility requests.
What amenities are included?
Please remember that these are residence hall rooms and do not have the same amenities as a hotel room. Also, keep in mind that in some cases, the facilities may show their age and wear.
What items are included in residence hall housing?
Each room has one, two or three twin beds and chair(s), desk(s), and dresser(s). Basic bed linens, a pillow, and a lightweight blanket are provided. For your comfort, you may want to bring your own towels, pillow, robe, slippers, clock, fan, and hangers. Alumni are welcome to bring air mattresses and/or sleeping bags to share a room.
What are the bathroom accommodations?
Each floor in the residence hall typically has a designated communal men’s and women’s restroom. Gates & McKeen have 1 bathroom per floor. In those spaces, one floor will be designated male restrooms and one floor will be designated female restrooms. Residence Hall guests are guaranteed to have a private bedroom with a locked door that will only be shared with indicated roommate(s). How do I register for Residence Hall housing?
When completing your Reunion registration:
- Select if you are paying for a room or rooming with someone else who is paying for the room.
- Indicate your roommate’s name.
- Both parties should indicate a roommate’s name if not registering together. Only one party needs to pay and the paying person should mark that during registration.
- Enter a Friday or Saturday arrival date.
- Indicate any necessary accessibility requests on the form or please email alumni@lafayette.edu.
What is the cost of Reunion housing?
The cost is $200 per room for Friday and Saturday night. Rooms are limited so register early. Only one party needs to pay and the paying person should mark that during registration. Both roommates should indicate their roommate’s name if not registering together.
How do I get keys to my room?
Start your Reunion Weekend with a visit to Reunion Headquarters in the Pfenning Alumni Center. Here you will receive your Reunion materials, housing assignments, and have a chance to see who has arrived. Reunion Headquarters will be open noon – 8:30pm on Friday and 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Saturday.
Where is Pfenning Alumni Center?
Pfenning Alumni Center is located on Hamilton Street, next to Oechsle Hall. For more information, see the campus map.
What if I arrive on campus outside of registration hours?
It is recommended that you arrive during registration hours. Reunion Headquarters will be open noon – 8:30pm on Friday and 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Saturday. If you register for on-campus housing and plan to arrive after hours, please indicate this on your registration form or by calling Alumni Relations at 610-330-5040. There will be instructions at the registration area in the Pfenning Alumni Center for retrieving your keys and checkpoint from Public Safety.
How do I check out of my room?
Check-out is 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 8th. Keys should be placed in the lock boxes that can be found in the lobby of each Residence Hall. There is a $75 charge for replacement of keys that are not returned and guests will be responsible to pay for any damage to their room.
